hello all!

looking at getting a bee r revlimiter on my g40 when it goes in the golf,

are they compatible as most of the installs are on jap ecu's

if not any other similar rev limiters i could use

tbh its mostly for sound :D

Andy

You've already got a rev limiter in the Digifant ECU.

samuel.cole

but the standard one isnt as harsh cut as the Bee r?

want mad bangs and flames yooo

Want burst cambelt, smashed pistons, bent valves fucked head as well? Jesus man, have a bit of respect for your machine. Simple soft-cut limiter from Demon Tweeks for £80 is what you should be looking at.

hayesey

a beer limiter?  is that some kind of anti-drink driving device?

Samuel.cole , as much fun as these boys are having the answer you are likely looking for is do not fit this to your car.

The G40 limiter should never really be hit at any time, am sure the reasoning behind this is the G lader's fragile nature! Big fluctuations in the oil pressure at the time of the limiter can cause oil to blow by the seal and affectively hinder your charger useless..

yes a do agree with you that the "Bee R" limiter sounds good..... on a Subaru Impreza :) not a G40 unfortunately.

samuel.cole

yes I agree the limiter shouldn't be hit however I would like to install launch control and for that reason I want an aftermarket limiter,

also I have a lysholm supercharger which is harder than chuck Norris! so no real worries with oil feed really, plus its just the ignition being cut so the timing isn't affected meaning it should judder too much is just the dump of the fuel going in that creates the pops and bangs!

I can map launch control into the standard g40 digifant ecu (using standard soft cut limiter). If thats something you would be interested in pm me.

Yoof

That's not a soft cut rev limiter...  :D

petegt

Yeah i suppose its not very soft haha.

scotsjohn

Digifant limiter definitely isn't soft cut

Tav

And neither is lowering a limiter launch control
