Restore and Upgrade. Polo G40 Mauritius

Hi Guys,
  I'm from Mauritius Island, a small dot next to Madagascar in Indian Ocean. It happen by chance we got a batch of Polo G40 over here, I think we have about 7-9 G40 over here not more. I grab one of these 2 years back sleeping in a garage in a pity state. I started to work on it this year, so I share with you some work in progress since the beginning. Hope you enjoy.

Bodywork was the first step.






Engine removed




Exhaust piping + Remus backbox


Refurbishing Sparco racing wheels 14"x6.5

Front mount intercooler / oil cooler


Aluminium engine crank pulley, supercharger lightweight 65mm V belt conversion kit


Warlbro Fuel pump + sythec fuel filter




Charger full rebuilt

Thanks, no it's black but as am doing the restore I consider changing color to Mk1 Lido Green.

whoever put the supercharger back together put the bottom pulley on the wrong way round!

 Thank for notifying, we already changed it to 5pk-belt conversion in the right place.

where it says gates here? you flipped the cog/pulley 180 degrees?

I guess I have to double check and revert back for this. I didn't check again after the mechanic put the other pulley.
What problem may arise if the pulley is not inverted.. I didnt run the car till now.

Car looks sweet, how do you find the scissor lift you've got in the first picture?

the guide ill be on the wrong side and the belt may rub on the charger mount.
