hi guys, so basically i have recently fitted my engine back to the g40 running an eaton charger. the engine is turning over yet producing no spark. virtually everything has been changed, i have a brand new coil and even fitted a brand new distributor assuming it may be the hall sender to no avail. my suspicion is that it may be a ground but as you can see in the videos i have an extra ground using a jump lead to no avail. there is not even the weakest of spark and the dash lights are very weird. clueless as to what it could be and praying someone can help!!!

here is my photobucket link, as its the only way i know how to put videos up .. the dash light video is the most confusing

any help would be much appreciated as i am going crazy trying to get this car on the road after selling my GT :(

anyone with any idea? going to dig in to the wiring loom to see if theres anything shorting out causing it!

This is really weird! I believe your problem lies in the wiring from the key to the ecu! Something seems messed! Does your pump go on and prime when u turn the key? How do you know its a sparking problem?

The fuel pump primes when key is turned .. Its a really strange one .. Obviously the dash lights are getting power from somewhere even with the key out? Its not sparking at all even though i have changed virtually everything that could be related to the spark itself ... Coil, leads, new distributor plugs, grounds...

Somewhere the wiring has to be shorting or something? This is going to be a headache ...:/

I had this on my mk1, with a GT engine, but very similar issues

Although I hadn't changed anything.

Bit of testing revealed the ignition switch was broken. I sometimes got life when I didn't full turn the key, well fully turned it then moved it back a little bit
