Not starting
« on: September 27, 2013, 12:44:41 am »
Iv had a strange one.
My G40 has been running fine with no issues at all, then i was on the way home from work the other day and it started to cough (only a couple times). I got her home, checked over her and all was fine, so i parked her up in the garage for the night. The next morning she turned over fine, but wouldnt start, i checked and there was no spark. I thought it must be the coil as the rev counter has also been playing up but afer a new one, still the same. I checked the spark again and found if i crank it for long enough, it sparked but by then the pots were flooded so it wound'nt start.
Any ideas im thinkinking distributor.

Heritage quoted me £130 just for the hall sender which had to come from Germany with a month's waiting list, so I stuck a 6n one on. And the stealers told me it was obsolete. GSF wernt much help either
