Bored Student Boostings

Am I right in thinking a engine G40 mount will fit onto a 1.0 mk2 polo?

Change the inlet mani and fit the G40 TB, tweak the carb and we are good to go?

If I was to adjust the butterfly so it doesn't close properly is that a reliable enough way to limit the amount of boost?

I know its a bad idea and will blow up but we got a few weeks to kill till christmas  ;D

i would have thought fuck the throtle body off and replace it with the carb because the carb will act as a throttle body eh

just a question of how to get the carb to flow into the inlet manifold

tbh waste of time

abit of a brain dead moment there.

Revised plan - bodge the G40 TB on top of the carb.

but the real question - can the butterfly be used to regulate boost?

The hard park of that thing is to make the elbow of the boost return to work the the flap goes up and down.... In your case a blow off valve is going to be a more easy to make... For the carb now.... I don't think that the tiny carb that the 1.0l polo has can provide the needed fuel.. You'll need a bigger carb also...
