Mk2 - Mk3
« on: July 10, 2013, 06:47:38 am »
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 'charger used on the Mk2s and Mk3s? Specifically the outlet casing.
Thanks

What do you want to know?

Mk2 (there are 2 kinds) and Mk3 chargers will not fit together. See also: http://g-lader.info/allgemein_generationen.htm

I wanted to know if the outlet, elbow, whatever you call it, from a mk2 will fit a mk3 'charger.

Basically wanted to know if this would fit. The guy selling it says that's it's not suitable due to the coming out at a different angle. Didn't say what angle though.

Looking at the one in my room i know they have different part numbers but they look extremely similar. Do you think there's any performance upside?

Mk2 and 3 outlets fit to any generation of g-chargers. Mk2 outlets are shorter and have a slightly different angle.

Heard back from the seller today, the outlet angles forward a bit more, probably wouldn't be an issue with the right bit of hose, rubbish news for me and my front mount.

Noob question here... when spraying the charger do you have the engine running or not?

you mean spraying pfte spray into it?  Engine running so it sucks the mist in.  I seem to recall there being some kind of guide for it in one of the FAQ sections.
