what is the best point to set the ignition timing ? set to 0 mark or Z mark
? on the autodata says to set on Z mark..... i'm really confused on this really....

if i remember correctly - 0 is mechanical timing z is ignition.

So either set to 0 with an advance gun to 5-7 degrees.

or with a static gun, set to z

i see but what is the diferençe to     "So either set to 0 with an advance gun to 5-7 degrees.

or with a static gun, set to z"

If you have a timing gun that lets you set the advance then you need to use the 0 mark, or leave it set to 0deg and use the Z mark.

If you have a fixed timing gun that doesn't allow you to set any advance, then use the Z mark.

i understand now... my advance gun its from accuspark sp8000 with advanced control and rev counter....then and only adjust the machine for 5 or 6 degrees to hit the right mark of 0? im correct
