51mm throttle body problem???

I replaced my t-piece gasket and noticed this:



Is this normal???

Do you mean the smaller hole? Is it on the same side as the idle screw, as it's probably the idle air port.

Yeah the small one is the one im on about. its on the same side as the electrical plug bit so it would be directly under the boost pipe.

I thought the big one was the idle screw as you can see the screw inside.

Maybe it's a manifold pressure reference (vacuum) hose feed?
Hard to tell without a spare tb for closer inspection. I hope it's that, because the alternative is troubling.

Its the hole that the wide open throttle sensor screws go into, some break through - if they do they get a wick of sealant or chemical metalled over to cover it up.

mine dont have that just the idle screw hole

no it can happen when the throttle bodies are ported out to 51mm.  chemical metal is your best bet.
