Actual engine code?

Evening all, only a quick one folks, have sorted my insurance with Adrian flux this year. Filled in all modified deceleration form. They have now sent me a letter asking for the engine number. I had told them the engine code of PY. But now they are asking for a number!! I thought it was just a code!!! Can someone shine some light on it for me? Is there a proper full length engine code??  Cheers folks Rich

yeah - its above gearbox, under thermostat housing.  Will need carb cleaner and wire wool to make it out!
