Can i use an alternative block with the g40 head and gearbox?

as above, can i use the 3f or nz or the other one ive forgotten code block from the gt with g40 cylinder head or even a 1.4 from a later polo if poss. does anyone know?

I've got an AFH head upwards if you or anyone else wants to give it a try. Pretyy sure I have a VAG cambelt kit for that engine too.

errr... misread that. You're after a block, not a head, lol.
