Correct - the bolts for G40 5.5 x 13 BBS RA alloys are exactly the same as for standard Polo steel wheels.

As long as the bolts are off the same model as later bolts have a different profile as the chap at polo show found out!

well when i put the standard wheel bolts though the bbs's there is only like 2mm of thread!

Sounds like you have a non standard set of BBS alloys. Are they 14x6 BBS RA's? These have a 5mm thicker mounting face and need an aftermarket bolt set. The standard 13x5.5 RA's off a G40 and the 15inch version off a 16V golf both fit with normal Polo bolts. These have a VW logo cast into the wheel. When using longer bolts you need to be careful with the rear wheels as bolts that are too long will hit the brake internals inside the drum.

Just reading about this and I had same problem. I was running 14's and had to get longer bolts, I will check if i still have them if you want them still?

just measured rim and its 6inch wide not the standard 5.5! so wheels nuts for 13x6 bbs ra
