g40 cam timing

Hi about to fit new cambelt on G40 but finding haynes manual shows a sawtooth shape marked Z and o on crankshaft timing marks as show in diagram 2.16 .wheras on G have a single hook shaped piece for timing mark can anyone clarify if i set crank to the front or back of this hook shape. cheers packers
