First, hello to all you people in the forum, while it was not involved.

A few months ago I painted my entire Polo G40.
I leave with you some pictures

I also wanted to comment You about the boost return mod, if anyone remembers, I was wondering for months in the forum to help me, I did, it worked perfectly, but yesterday I've removed and leave it as is from factory.

Now I am thinking of buying a BOV and install on G40, there is a problem in this?
Any possible bursting of a tube of mainfold?
Or run without any problems?

I saw this on Ebay, for our car, the seller is in Germany, sent me the installation manual with pictures, and is mounted on a G40, and assures me that everything works correctly.
The page is this:

(The link I put is translated into Spanish)

Well, finally I leave with you pictures of my car, I hope you enjoy it!

See if you can help me with the doubt of the BOV.

A hug from Spain, and those caring G!

Bye!

Hi again  ;D

BOVs are for use with a turbo which a g40 doesn't have.  The existing boost-return-valve is the best thing for the supercharger.

Hello hayesei!
Thanks for your fast response  ;)

Then, a BOV don“t run in a G?
Brake the mainfold pipes?

And the boost-return-valve you tell, is it the boost return mod?

Thanks!

hayesey

well I don't think it'll burst the manifold pipes!  But they generally aren't designed to constantly flow air like the VW designed boost return valve is.

A BOV is to stop a turbo from stalling when you lift off the throttle quickly, you don't have a turbo so such a device makes no sense.  A supercharger can't stall.

The boost return valve is built into the top of the throttle body  and allows excessive airflow to either go back into the charger inlet or (if you have the boost return mod) go into the air.  This is needed because the charger pumps more air than the engine needs at idle and part throttle.  It's a totally different purpose to a dump valve or a blow off valve etc...

Ok hayesey!
Thanks!

Then, i will do the bost return mod other time.
But...
How I can to change that sound?
I explain:
I go full trothle and put off, and sound chs!!
Very loud & short sound, there are some form to the sound will be more longer?
:-\

Bye!
