Hello!

Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Hungary.
So I got a Polo G40 and the gearbox fell apart (THX Eaton M62)
I cannot find in Hungary gearbox for my car so my question is what type of Gearbox will fit on my car?
I Prefer the 5 speed gearboxes. It will good from an old 1.3l Injection Golf Mk2?

Yes, if you can find one with code 8p or ceg these are the best match to a proper g40 gearbox.  They were common on 1.3 spi polos and golfs.

I have a question, this is the original G40 gearbox?

Thats not the gearbox code so might be hard to tell what it is. I put it in google and someone has one with that code fitted and he owns a mk2 golf. But that might be a part number for the casing.

The code for the gearbox is on the top face of the gearbox. This is a stamped in number which would be under the thermostat housing if looking at the gearbox when fitted to the engine.

The number you have shown the in photos are the gearbox casing part numbers

any 085 gearbox will fit.  They came fitted to a lot of vws in the late 80s and 90s, basically anything with a small-block engine in it.  Lots of different ratios though.

ones with similar-ish ratios to a g40 box are 8P and CEG which came fitted to 5-speed mk3 polos, 6n polos, seats etc...

JP race at Silverstone (literally at the entrace to the track on the right) used to come recommended for G40 rebuilds!
