G40 alternator

Hi,

I'm looking for a good condition G40 alternator as the one on my car isn't charging properly.  Can anyone help?

Hey do you know the age of the battery you've got and is the charger belt/belts in good condition ? Worth checking mate

This is probably a belt tension issue, i might have a spare alternator if needs be.

Nope, it's definitely the alternator. The exciter feed has 12V however it doesn't excite and begin charging until around 3.5k rpm. The brushes are fine so I can only conclude that it's a regulator fault. I don't want to keep having to rev the engine from cold to get it to charge.

Battery is new, belts are new, tension is good.

If anyone can help then that'd be great, including a picture showing external condition please :-) Thanks
