Bloody good effort mate - presume temp gauge is compressor out?

Interesting when the rear goes it's f'in quick, give you much warning? Presume that's since the spring rate increase?

Gutted I missed this now  :-\

The gauge was plumbed into 4 different points, comp out, post I/C, oil sump and coolant out - i had it on the oil sump read out so it was hitting 125'c - i think this is on the limit for the oil i am running (semi synthetic mobil one 10W/40) so might go for a fully synt 0W/40 mobil one instead..............

When the back end goes it gives no warning whatsoever, i managed to catch a slide a handful of times but spun a good 5 times.

This is the first time i have driven the car when its been a damp track so i am not sure if it is the springs or not - i am running 200's on the back and 375's on the front.

Get your car ready for March as thats when the next Oulton Park one going to be.

Will see how this gearbox fitting goes mate- depends which stage I'm at with it.

125'C sump probably 90-95'C gallery, so not taking the piss too much (got 10'C to play with?)

I run mine on Mobil 1 10W40 Fully Synth, tappets are noisier (no idea why) but other than that seems to be good, we both know that oil can take a pasting  8)

Be interesting to put some toe/camber on the back and see how it responds.

I'm showing my naivety but what is your right hand dial (top of dash) that moves around a lot?
and
How come you kick every cars arse? Is your
G that much more powerful than all the other cars?

1- Boost gauge

2- Combination of 'arsehole factor' which has many inputs... In reality a G40 with a well setup chassis, slicks, 200bhp and 750kg is going to hussle lots of more expensive machinery. Truth is Robin doesn't really care if he bends his Polo either. The chap in the Carrera 4s probably doesn't want to return home to his Mrs and explain why £50k worth of Stuggart's finest has an imprint of a VW Polo in its rear quarter. Arsehole factor is rarely higher as a consequence!

That silver 996 was a turbo - owner was so smug in the car park before the track session started.

Oh and yes good is correct - arsehole factor is a big factor.

My dad owns a 996 Turbo thats been re-mapped. He says its retarded fast on the road. Chances are if I take my G to the track I'd be driving way harder than he'd drive his 996. I wouldn't call it arsehole factor though, some people push, others don't, depending on balls, experience and purely because it'd be a lot of cash to repair. Hopefully they're all enjoyed.

Top videos, good to see it being driven hard.
