8N Gearbox

8N I picked up with the purchase of a van, been told it ran well when it was broken from the G, good alternative to an ATV £30

I am based in Malton but in York every weekday.

whats the ratios like on the 8n compared with the atv?

So i haven't run this gearbox, but the fella that did, used it with a G and said the final drive was nice.

to help put it into perspective: "It's 8p ratios with a shorter final drive. So every gear is a bit shorter than an 8p. Good jack of all trades gearbox if you think the 8p is too long and the AHD (GT) is too short" taken from club polo

No - it's press-on final drive.

Overall gearing (i.e. ratios and final drive) is shorter on an 8N than an 8P, and a G40 ATV is longer overall than both.

Id be interested in the AHD, But I live near edinburgh. I take it you wont consider posting?

Ah... Im getting my boxes mixed up. The AHD is a press on final drive? The GT box with the bolt/rivet on is the CEG isnt it? thats the one Im after!
