Phase 2, the black ones and G-Werks pulleys were done by these chaps:

You can even see them in their 'products' slide show.
I spoke to them about doing a batch, I got a price for 10 sets but there was some confusion with what alloy / anodisation to use on them. I didn't want to sell a product that could potentially wear prematurely so I pulled out.

As far as I know they still have the CNC drawings for them.

Great thanks guys. My plan was to see about getting a batch remanufactured. I've not heard any bad reports of the PSD ones wearing...so be interesting to see if they could do exact copies.

I think 10 would sell...certainly preferable to German steel ones.

The ideal product is a steel toothed ring pressed onto an aluminium pulley, lighter than the originals but will never wear out. PSD phase 2's wore pretty badly, even after 10k miles.

When I wanted to do a batch of aluminium ones Pace said they wouldn't do it.

How quickly do the phase 2 ones wear?

End of day most G are second cars now days and don't cover much mileage, would the wear rate be that much of an issue?

Is there any idea why the pace ones lasted longer? Was it a coating or was it down to the alloy used?

Alex

I've put about 20,000 miles on my PSD Phase 2 toothed belts, I've not had any problems with them.

That's good to hear. Might see if they will make up a pair of these for me then :-)
