gear box oil check

Anyone got a picture of where the gearbox drain and fill plugs are? Thanks all

Have you read the haynes manual?

don't have a picture but they are both on the side of the diff casing where the nearside drive shaft comes out.  There's two plugs screwed in with 17mm hex key fittings.  It's fairly obvious if you poke your head down there and have a look.
