Well lads Iv a gt polo at the min but Iv brought a g40 engine etc. And want to put it into the gt but I duno if the charger needs a rebuild when Iv it in and running how will I no if it dose.sorry if this is the rong place to put this cheers phil

you wont know if it does or not, if it starts making funny noises or anything then it's probably past a service and needs replacing, just get it done unless the engine came with a proper receipt saying the charger was done recently. 

One thing you can watch for when the engine in running is excessive oil in the boost pipes showing that the charger seals need replacing.
