polo g40 vs golf g60

just to see what you guys reckon my mates building a 1.9 g60 for his golf g60 and hes a member on another forum which there members say i little g40 would never keep up with him at all..... hes only goining to be running around 230bhp tops and im aiming for 180ish so what do you guys think? ive shown him videos of yoofs gee as he was kind of mocking the g40 (just to prove that gees can be fast) an his chin hit the floor i know mine wont be as powerfull as yoofs but surely i wont be that far off the golf will I?

i had a g60 oettinger, but on stock pulley etc.

I think a modded g40 suffers in two ways - one trying to set off and two top end.

best chance withone is from a rolling start and before you top out!

I like to use some power to weight ratio's ..

FWD - 225bhp & 830kg
Power to Weight:    275 bhp/ton
0-60:    4.7
0-100:    12.0
60-100:    7.3
1/4 Mile ET:    13.09
1/4 Mile Terminal:    107
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET:    12.79
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal:    109

If that were true or close id be over the moon lol !

Would be close if you could put that sort of power down i think as Pete said polo main problem is traction or the lack of it !!

well ive done the necessities, got the PPP stage 3 subframe, quaife Lsd, cars stanced a little lifting the rear end up to put the weight forward.

cant imagine id get 13.0 tbh, but you know if a got 13.5 i know it would be good.
although i bet some of the cars that are quicker down the strip would be beaten by the G40 at a rolling pace!
