galvanized is gone?!

hi there folks!

i remove my front panel and i was cleaning some paint from the bonnet lock, and put a bit of thiner on it, and it happend that the lock went blue..

the galvanized coat is gone and it will rust, or is just a reaction and still rust free?

I would of thought it would be ok. Shame your not in uk as i got some very good stuff to stop any corrosion/rusting.
