I'm going to Big Bang this weekend to put my G down the strip , last time I went on the friday my mate got 41 runs in so was pretty good value for £25, even tho his clutch was nearly fubarred at the end.

Basically im running 195 45 14 tyres and run them at 32psi normally,

i plan to let some of the air out of em at santa pod to aid in my tracking battle,

but what do you reckon is the optimum pressure for the tires?

cheers

Andy

Given that they're road tyres I wouldn't drop them much below 20psi. Best thing to do is drop them a bit at a time and see how the car feels - too much and it'll get sketchy at higher speed, or run the risk of a blow-out or tyre coming off the rim. Drag radials are very different, can often run much lower pressures.

Cheers andy, ill give that a go at the weekend.

Hows your motor coming along? Making the ultimate sleeper better?

Well impressed with mine,

Ran today 30 times for £15!!

Didn't bother putting my tires down, my first time on the strip.

Managed to get a    14.9785 @90.68mph with 0.2553 reaction.
The 60 ft time for that was 2.28 secs which I'm pleased about!

Very good time etches... What power do you run?

Etches

The times wrong , my actual time was 14.97 .

Mine actually runs 135bhp the last time it was rolling roaded , all ive done since then is a decat.
