Anyone know the best place to get a set of Bosch 0 280 150 945 "red" injectors from? Just wondered what the price of them was?

dub-disaster

In a recent thread, I think there was a link to jabba and they where charging somthing ludacris like £50 per injector !! I'm not sure if ppp can get some at a more reasonable rate maybe ?

breadman

Thanks Anthony, yeah that is a silly price. I just wondered where everyone else got theirs from?
PPP, can you supply 'em?

Andy

Yes. None in stock at the moment, but we can do reconditioned & fully tested 'reds' for about £100.

Richard- subject to testing a set of 'reds' I have here (which part numbers say they're 315cc we should be able to sell you those  :)

Will be in touch next week once I've tested them.

Thanks Pete.
Pete, is there any reason why it's thought that 0 280 150 945 injectors are the "ones to have"? There are quite a few different ones that have very similar flow rates/resistance. Surely as long as they physically fit, have the right pulse band width, flow enough @ 3 bar supply and have in tolerance resistance then any will be ok?
Can you confirm/conclude this Pete or Andy?
Thanks again,
Richard.

Yoof

In theory yes, in practice, no.

The spray pattern is also very important and low engine speeds/idle, the standard G40 injector give a very straight spray pattern, some injectors give a conical pattern.

Not a problem at high port velocity (high rpm) but at low rpm (low port velocity) and idle the conical spray pattern can suffer fuel drop out, the Ford Injectors suffer from this on engines with higher CR (VE is higher and the engines requires less fuel than a stock G40 at these conditions).

Ok cheers Pete, I hadn't thought about differing spray patterns? Ta for making that clear.
I assume the 315cc ones you have are suitable for my spec engine including right down at idle and low engine speed/light throttle conditions? Will these be cleaned, fitted with new seals and tested like most of the others I see you've sold?
Thanks in advance,
Richard.
