gear knob help!

i've been lookin around but i cant seem to find an oridginal g40 gear knob anywhere.

they g40 gearnob in uk was just the same as other 5speed mk3s - plastic.  or at least it has been on my stock low mile g40s!

There is a gear knob on a polo near my scrappy in yeovil. Not back there till 4/5th jan. Can get it to you then? Unless you find one before hand?

My old G had a plastic gear nob but the one I have at the min has a leather one,
anyone manage to find a press photo of the interior. Would be interesting to see what was used off production

i think the leather one was an optional extra..

The stock G40 gear knob is just the normal plastic 5 speed. It was the same on both my G40s and the one I still have was a 1991 press car. Original gear gaiter is leatherette rather than real leather and tends to fall apart.

cheers for ya help fella's this my first g so i'm new to all this i swapped it for my v6 4motion & some money its a saloon conversion but i love it g40 all the way!
