Rev counter - which wire is it on the G40?

which wire feeds the rev-counter from the coil?

Can I tap into it for a mk1 golf rev counter?

should be the red/black wire from the black connector in the G40 wiring loom

before the black connector block it is a green wire from pin 24 of the ecu

yes - its only got a black connector in it to keep parts of the loom seperate. splich it straight onto the green if you wish. please do check first that your ecu is the correct model - there may be variants. hayesey has posted up a pin out somewhere on this forum to confirm its pin 24 mate.
