I actually quite like this, not so sure on the wheels but otherwise I quite like the look of these new polos, a definite improvement over the last few shapes I reckon.  Plus using the 1.4 TSI engine seems a good idea, 180bhp standard with surely plenty of tuning potential for well over 200bhp.  It should handle OK too with a fancy diff and stuff.

whats the crack with not designing new wheels? they put them on the mk6 golf too. seems lazy to me.

Varley

Agree. Especially seeing as how imo they look sh*t!

I think vw has lost their imagination!

You can also get the new cupra with same engine for £15k.

It does look quite good but the Polo is a big car now though, that's gotta be mk3 Golf sized? So much for a pocket rocket...

It does look really good and the engine sounds like a wee stormer.
As for the price, what are VW on at the moment.  The new Golf R is not far off £40k when you add a few extras like leather and DSG etc.

I bought a brand new Golf GTI Edition 30, 2 years ago for £20k.  It will keep up with the Golf R and should be a good bit quicker than the Polo GTi.

Looks like I got it at the right time.
