gearbox leak

hi my gearbox is leakin from the seal around the selector fork where the linkage goes into the box. can i replace the seal on without removing the box or do i need to drop the box out?

you can replace it with the box in situ..replace the brass bush it sits in too as this is sometimes what leaks rather  than the seal..both seal and bush are no more than ten quid from vag..you will need a bit of round tube to slide over the selector and tap the bush in place..
