Hi,

Was woundering are only charged dubs 315cc injectors too big for a polo g40 that is not turbo'd converted , however is fairly modified , i am after g60 greens 250cc ones as i think my spec is on the limit of g40 injectors but greens are becoming harder to sorce.
Do the 315cc once installed just run to a fraction of there potential or do they flood the chambers 'all or nothing'??

Cheers
Danny.

What is your complete setup so far?

PSD normally said you only needed redtops when going 1341 cc, high CR, ported head and wilder cams. I know that they where challenging to get to idle properly on 1341 cc engines

Not required with a G40 lader - 250cc/min is fine.

Has anybody had use of these chevy injectors ? Would they be excepted carnt see why not being bosch and correct pin connection??

What about ford injectors of the same cycle rate?

Cheers

Andy

Be wary of those Ford injectors, the pintle design is completely different to the early EV1 Bosch injectors - and whilst their peak flow rate is the same, their spray pattern is vastly different to G60 'greens'.

This means that on a higher CR build (where you typically need less fuel than on stock 8:1 CR) it may well overfuel massively at idle, and it's not possible to map around - even when messing around with injector scaling in the map as well as the fuel map itself, at a few percent duty they just throw too much fuel in.
