My voltage is low across the batt. 12.4v but it's also the same coming off the alternator. Continuity is good between the alt and the batt.

12,4 across the battery with the car not running is not bad. If it's running and u are getting 12,4 then start with the grounding cables. if one is broken or rusted it will heat the rest of them and drop the voltage.

I've only recently replaced the big earths. I.e engine, batt and gearbox.

Don't know if it related but the throttle body switchs have been working intermittently (i have an aem wideband so can monitor afrs )
