brand new alternator still getting low voltage

Brand new g40 alternator from Gsf and I'm still only seeing 12.8v across battery max. It's the 2nd alternator from Gsf and they double checked it was the right one. I have checked all the wiring and repaired a potential dodgy bit.

Please help  this is driving me insane
