Title: Uprated clutch cables
Post by: Alex on August 19, 2012, 02:31:19 pm
Can you get these?

I've got a fairly heavy clutch, I'm concerned about snapping cables. Does anywhere make them with stronger wire?

Try Practical Classics Alex; IIRC there should be a couple of adverts in there.

What clutch have you got Alex? Check there's a bit of grease on the clutch arm too, they sometimes bind on the box housing

I keep my cable lubed (silicone is good and doesn't run out too quickly) as Pete says just carry a spare and a few 10mm spanners.

My pedal box is hanging in there, will strip it out in winter and weld it up.

Could get a hydraulic clutch? Only problem is mounting a master cylinder for the clutch.
