Title: 1w crank
Post by: G40_POWER_AD on June 04, 2012, 10:46:11 pm
hello mates, the 1w crank directly fit on PY block or need some more modifications ? i pretend use original pistons and rods...i buy a decompression plate 1mm if it need to lowering compression

no it doesn't, the conrod bolts hit the block. you need to grind the block away.
The original G40 pistons? they will NOT fit as they will be long and hit the head.

tanks mate ! i think the best option is to using the 1w block with g40 pistons or 77mm ones

you can't use g40 pistons with a 1W, you need custom-made ones.

sorry I don't understand what you are asking there.  If you want to use a 1W crank, whether this is with a G40 block (which would need machining/grinding) or a 1W block, you cannot use standard G40 pistons, you need to get some specially made ones.

yes yes i understand ! i think the best option is to buy a new wossner forged pistons

Left 1W piston accralite forged
Right standard G40 piston

i see ! but the "wossner" or "wisseco" piston it is the same type of this piston in the left side ? or it is a diferent one ?

it will be forger, no matter what brand is, otherwise it may have different compression ratios.

but i think for the good function of the engine is to maintain the original compression yes ?

You can use the good 1w on the block with the pistons of PY G40 and they body will have to be machined to stay with the same rate Companding I have to sell these pistons with diameters of 75.01 / 75.51 / 75.76 attention but you have to 1W as it may be to 78.7 or 79.1 of the pistons and maquinamento ja and other and even to buy other type JE pistons or WISSECO or other have to know what is the measure of your 1W

that last post did not make much sense.
The maximum piston size you can use on the block is 77mm. it is the height that changes to bring down the compression and also make it not hit the head on TDC.

my previous post shows the height difference between the pistons
