This must be the G40 that was for sale in Edinburgh, owned by a lord etc. the previous owner had a for sale post on here somwhere.

A few wagers may be settled now its sold.

C'mon Stevie boy, don't be shy; remember the old saying " the  more you pay, the more it's worth".

Just had a look at the original for sale post.
The seller states it was sold for the full asking price, so £5k then. :o
I'd like to see some proper close up detailed pics of this car to see the condition of it. Some peoples idea of mint are different from others. Is it mint for it's age/year and mileage or mint regardless? That is the question I'd like to see answered - HD close up pics only please! To state it's in showroom condition is quite a boast, with 50k on the clock I'll beg to differ.
Saying this though, I'm not trying to be negative towards Stevie. As long as he's happy with his purchase then that is all that's important.
Good luck with this Stevie, hope you enjoy it mate.

First mod's an R1 cone filter; for sure it's not going to stay OEM for long. Shame, but it's a free world allegedly.

not sure if am goin to mod it but if i am d only thing will be a jabbasport air filter but dont think i will as they dont filter the air as good and shortin service life of charger. i know what mint is when it comes to cars as i am a professional car valeter and detailer. and you right on what you say as long as im happy with the car it doesnt matter what i paid for it because il be keeping it for classics shows just and im just goin to buy another g40 within a year. i love my classic cars as they have lots of character i know new cars may be more comfortable and smoother but older ones are far better as they are lots of fun and people that are in to there cars would appreciate ones like these as others that dont know much sumtimes just think old ones are a thing of the past

There is a trumpet on the airbox that you could remove to make the supercharger induction louder if you wanted, it wont effect the service life either.

I dunno, I've seen some right sheds in some car showrooms :D  Only joking of course... this does look like a very nice g40.  if you are happy with paying £5000 for it then fair enough.

does seem a shame to start modifying it though, I can only think that'll cause it to lose value.  Be better off keeping it totally mint and original and perhaps enter some concourse competitions with it.

ive decided that i am going to keep this car original not goin to bother with the jabbasport filter mod any more just goin to wait until next year and buy another g40 maybe with engine mods but exterior and interior will have to be original
