Title: Oulton Park trackday, 4th November
Post by: hayesey on August 26, 2011, 09:34:42 am
There's a track day on November the 4th at Oulton Park in Cheshire.  It's a bit of a yearly event organised by Trackaction-Online.  It's a good chance to get on a really good, international level circuit for not a lot of money.  It's £125, full day, open pit.

Details are here:

http://www.trackaction-online.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1348

Some of the usual suspects are already booked on :) (me, yoof, sam etc...).

Let ramp up the interest in this event.  Get as many G's down there as possible, even if you cant afford to get on the track.

What does everyone recon????

I've put a big dent in the rear quarter of my car, so it's ready.

It will live on! Kiz says he's got a fresh rear quarter already cut off a car, so if the worst comes to the worst, I can use that.

Some pitstop repairs:

Leaves it looking like this currently:

Cheers for the info Juston- proof it can be done with a little time and patience.

I can't wait to see the camera footage of that. Did it happen as a result of the gearbox breaking?

not sure he had his camera on at the time.

no, gearbox went after the repairs had been done and he went back out!  Cause of crash would have just been because the track had been uber-greasy and was in that dangerous stage where a dry line has formed but it's still greasy as hell off line.

Nah, happened as a result of my bad driving! Hauling hard, and fair to say I was giving it ten tenths all day- which resulted in this:

And in sequence:

Gonna be abit of a rebuild!

Wow that's a real shame, but at least you are both ok. How did you manage to get those excellent action pics.
At least no one can say you were not trying.

I wonder if she was worried about you of if she was thinking about the cost/time in fixing it while snapping away.

I work at Oulton Park once a month through out the year with Drift One... One thing I know, is they're really precious about their grass. Bet they loved you  :D
