Title: Polo G40 Saloon Conversion Mk3
Post by: Tom Garrett on July 30, 2011, 01:55:21 pm
This is a car that I have known a long time, and has been in and out of my ownership but it is time to go for good as I am moving to the States and must get rid, just been down and had 12 months MOT on it so it is no hassle for the new owner, Tax runs out the end of august so is drive away at the moment.

Has a few marks around it as you would expect of a car of it's age, but overall good condition and most importantly no rust.  The car itself has about 85k I think as was 70 something when I did the conversion the engine milage matches the clocks, as does the front suspension, rear axle, interior etc all G40 specific parts have been converted, into the saloon and just wants badges to finish it off really, will get some pics up later.

So I am looking for around 1800ono and I'm not an unreasonable guy so get in touch if you have a decent offer.

So as mentioned there are a few marks all around the car, the scratch pictured being the worst, there is service history and reciepts for both the car and the donor car included and a plate from the donor car, can include a CD player if you want as well, needs a couple of new tyres, and I would put smaller on it as it rubs ever so slightly due to the 70mm lowered kit, it wants some 175/50/14, currently on 185/55/14, two nexens which have good tread but one is abused from scrubbage and two falkens that will need replacing, no advisory's on the MOT fresh 12 months. First to see will buy in my opinion as it's a great car and a cheap way into reasonable milage G power.

no engine mods to my knowledge bar the induction kit, and as for the charger service, also not sure, definately not since 90k as I bought the donor car around then and hasn't been done since
