Post by: Doc J on April 01, 2011, 07:44:11 pm
Do someone thinked about 2 pieces of GT1241 on PY?

A simple schematic is attaches.

I know it will cost some money, but...

Would like to read about positives and negatives in this setup.

Personally I'd have thought the extra weight of 2 turbos and the boost pipes/hoses complexity would more than out weigh any gains.

Not rally sure weight is going o be a factor. Fitting it all in will be though

If you've got the capacity to fabricate a manifold- then you can fit whatever turbo you wish, two identical smaller turbos won't spool quicker than one larger one.

More cost, more fabrication, more heat etc etc.

Positives- it's unique, nothing else.

The JZA80 Twin turbo supras come with a twins as a standard setup, one is for low down revs and the other starts to spool at around 4-5000 rpm, there is some complicated valves and wiring though to control them.

Which is why mine is just set for them to come on at the same time. as one of the valves broke and was going to cost £200 to replace it.
