Post by: Phil on February 09, 2011, 12:10:59 am
Can supply Newman camshafts for the G40 for £200 delivered.

Please specify whether you'd like a G40 fast road, G40 turbo, or if you want something lairer than either, it can be arranged.

Eaton cam won't be a problem, did you want one for a stock or 1341 engine?

I just bit the bullet and bought one, but not from Phil. Hope it's a straight fit and doesn't need a vernier.

If you are talking about an eaton cam I never ever got mine fitted I tried everything and just could not get it to run on any more than 2 cylinders. I don't know if I had a dodgy cam or what but it just would not run even when we tried it with a venier pully. If anyone could help or offer any advice I would be really greatfull

Apologies, custom spec is no problem at all. Just let me know what its going in and I can work it out. PSD would have just done the same, already worked out an ideal spec for the 1500 eaton for someone else.

Doesn't need a vernier, but it is better for getting the most out of your setup.

359? Mean 259?

Can do a 268 no worries, can't offer fitting anymore though.

It's a fairly straight forward job to do, so any decent garage really.

What are the profile on the fast road cams?

"Fast Road" are 264/268, so not very wild. Give a nice addition to midrange power and no idle problems. Quite happy with mine.

What other options do I have without going to wild? Probably end up going for the 264/268 lol

What sort of gains would I see to a slightly modified g40, 65mm pulls jabba sport chip etc? Would I need to a new chip to see the full affect? Also would g60 injectors be required?

I ran a piper 252/274 fast road cam with ppp chip and 65mm pulley. G40 injectors are good for up to 160 bhp. Car went really well especially when you hit the powerband.
