Title: bumper restoring

my bumpers are grey what is the best stuff to get them back to original colour

Heat gun and a touch of Autoglym bumper restorer worked great for me. I heard Mequires is better though. Be careful with the heatgun to not melt too much (loose the texture and goes shiney) and keep it moving so you don't get funny patterns where different parts cool differently.

I use armorall but you need to apply whenever it gets washed off! And with the rain and all, that could be too often! that's only if you don't trust yourself with a heat gun!

ive heard used enigne oil can b used for blacking bumpers back up.

I've used , used engine oil the proper black stuff. Brings it up well and gets rid of over spray lol

Turtle wax wet 'n' black - I swear by it.

Spray it, brush it on your tyres with a paint brush, apply it with a cloth. Its liquid silicone on a spray bottle and its awesome!

I used to use mer bumper restore and it was ok, just bought some autoglymn bumper restore and its very good. Been a week later and it still looks good.

I've yet to find a permanent solution to be perfectly honest with you. The best stuff I've used so far is the Megs Gold Class Trim Detailer, but that washes off eventually. Mind you my bumpers are really faded, but you'd never tell.

The trick is to apply it with a sponge, not a cloth, and it'll get into all the deepest parts of your bumpers. If you're starting with a new sponge it'll take a while to soak up enough of the stuff to do a decent job, but once it's saturated it just wipes on. And of course it helps if you scrub the bumpers to get the dirt out from between the textured bits, otherwise you're applying it to filth not plastic and it'll wash off quicker.

I've spent a decade reviving my bumpers and I've yet to find anything that lasts longer than a month.

I've not tried it but G-Techniq C4 is supposed to be very good, not cheap though.
