Title: swirly rubber tube from supercharger elbow

just fitted a front mount intercooler to my g40 today and i heard that the swirly rubber tube coming from supercharger elbow needs to be there for certain reasons is this true or can it be done away with, thanks

It's that shape to supposedly allow movement, the engine moves and the intercooler is fixed. But it doesn't have to be there, people use a straight walled 45° hose instead of it. As long as the hose(s) to your front mount have a little flex it'll be fine, just check them every so often.
