I've decided to sell my MINT Polo G40:-
Tornado red
91K on the clock
TOTALLY STANDARD in every way with a MINT interior
MOT March 2010
TAX till DEC 09
FLEW through the MOT with not so much as a minor
Since getting the car last Feb i've had a FULL re-spray done on everything bar the roof
The wheels had a FULL re-furb less than 3K ago
The car has NO faults mechanically to tell you about
Comes with a THICK file of history inc most bills (even down to washers!!)
People who know me know how picky I am and I dont use the word MINT easilly, BUT this car really as tidy as they come and rare as hens teeth in standard form as there were only 200 sold in the UK!!
Why buy another for 2-2.5K with faults or shabby paint when you could buy this??

Great car!.. sorry to ask but in 91" with orange switch light i think no G40 come with side repeater's, I guess?

Stunning car, having spoken to Paul a couple of times at shows throughout the summer I can imagine the work and effort that has gone into this car and it shows. It is easily worth the money, good luck with the sale Paul, I dont think you'll have it long.

My question is about the "side repeaters" in 1991 there was no side repeaters in G40 here in Portugal.

In the UK they always came with side repeaters, even from 1991!

I'm suprised its taken this long! Hope its gone to a good home. Hope you've pointed them to here if they arent already on here.

No mate, nothing in the pipeline as yet. May just chill for a bit as its the 1st time in about 5 years I don't have a 'show'/weekend car on the drive!! :-[
Part of me is gutted TBH but I reckon the new owner will look after it, dont think he's planning on ram raiding halfords for add-on body kits and neons!! :D
Whilst checking the documents at the weekend twigged i've only done 700miles in it since March and just cant justify having a lump of cash sat on the drive doing nowt, as nice as it was!! :P

Just like to say, I collected the car off Paul the other day, and hes a top guy, the car will be treasured for as long as I own it, I've just put a new cam belt and water pump on it, replaced the two number plate bulbs as one had gone, and given the roof a polish and shes looking tip top, the only mods im goin to put on the car are, a new pair of parcel shelf lifters (as theres only one at the minute), new interior dash bulb (as ones gone), and level the front bumper a little bit, and thats your lot, apart from that the car is absolutely immaculate and it couldn't have gone to a better home, I hope to see Paul and the other G40 members at a meet sometime very soon and obviously the big dub meets in summer with my bugs as well, thanks again and stay in touch Craig

LOL Everything you've done I was gonna do ready for next years show season, only small things but make a difference in my eyes. Been looking for a set of parcel shelf lifters but they are obsolete from VW (I did try). :)
Like i've said its sad it had to go, but at least its gone to a good home!! ;)

Sounds like it has gone to a brilliant home - just hope he drives as sensibly as he looks after it!!!
