Title: Cylinder head
Post by: Alexiskayak_7 on June 13, 2008, 11:13:27 pm
Well , does an engine from a vw golf 3, 8valve with ABT engine code 1350cc (monopoint injection),  has the same cylinder head with PY (G40) ones???

Generally, is there something same wit the G40s???

I don't know about golf heads but all 1272cc mk3 polos have the same head.  G40s have different exhaust valves and cam but the actual head itself is the same.

Yes, with the first sight you can see that they are similar, but in the inside???

yes, all the 1272cc polo heads are the same casting.  just different cam and exhaust valves on G40s (they have sodium filled ones to keep temps down).

no it doesn't it just has a t-piece fitted where one of the pressure sensors go in.  The head casting is the same part as any 1272cc mk3 polo.

I can see that they look the same, but it's  from a VW with ABT engine code and it has 1350cc....
