Title: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: DKnight on September 12, 2009, 01:05:02 am
honestly i get some odd ones, this one is the best so far

"Dear XXXXXXXX,

Hi - could you tell me the size of the item in english please (ie
inches)

- bark_at_fish"

so i mean what kind of question is that? is he some kind of angry retro measurement guy?

my reply

"howdy strange question? the size is on the auction in mm, we went metric years ago, i could google mm to inches, but i will let you do that yourself :D cheers"

and his reply

"Dear XXXXXXX,

No problem - you've just lost a customer.

- bark_at_fish"

i mean seriously??????? he needs to get the fuck out more, why would you say any of this???

haha, sounds like it's a customer you are best off without if they are such a pain in the arse even before buying!

Doesn't everyone know that you just divide by 25.4 to convert to inches from mm anyway?

Post by: DKnight on September 12, 2009, 09:28:44 am
ah he replied
"Sorry - wasn't designed to sound rude, lots of firms do not
pretend their customers are 'all metric'- and I just wanted to get
a 'mind's eye' of the size of it (was looking at others too all
around the web) and since I'm armchair surfing I didn't want to
get a ruler - I hate to surprise you but like it or not most of us
still refer to sizes in 'old method' (ask someone their height,
weight, or even if you hold your fingers 15 'cm' apart and get
people to guess see how many say 6 inches or 'half a foot'
compared to metric). There's a bunch of us want emblems etc
for some supercharged classic minis - we just wanted to
compare yours with several others. I'm sorry I asked. Again - it
wasn't meant to be rude just simply a customer asking for info -
maybe the customer *is* wrong if it goes against the EU way ;-)
;-)"

not arsed, covering his tracks now, like you said, id rather not have the custom

Lol. Bet you I can tell how old he is to a year either way. In truth, I know exactly what this guy's about; I tend to do the exact same thing(six feet of 40mm square timber sort of thing). This guy's so fucking lazy though. He can't be bothered to think metric which isn't very clever, but he can't be arsed to go and get a ruler and wants you to do a conversion for him. I know where I'd have told him to insert his ruler... in inches of course( double figure).
Title: Re: I should write an ebay buyer comments book
Post by: Tommo on September 12, 2009, 11:05:06 pm
I would have told him that i didnt have any imperial measuring equipment.

An ridiculous reply to an equally rediculous question.
Title: Re: I should write an ebay buyer comments book

Shouldve told him to get his ruler and then turn it the other way round!

What size are the wheels on your cars lads............. ;D ;D

Just a thought...  :P

Tend to agree though, even an armchair surfer should have clicked a google converter really!
Title: Re: I should write an ebay buyer comments book
Post by: DKnight on September 19, 2009, 11:57:20 am
yeah i totally agree inches and shit are still used, but to be so lazy to ask me to give it in inches, he is just being a nob really
Title: Re: I should write an ebay buyer comments book
Post by: scotsjohn on September 20, 2009, 02:30:00 pm
When you're giving it do you give it in inches or millimetres dan? lol.

I've heard he prefers to take inches! ;D

right im going to post all the comedy emails i have to deal with, todays comedy one, but seriously, as a seller, how do you reply to this? i mean that seriously too...

"i recieved sticker in post on saturday. stuck it onto my van and then realized that its the grey/silver 1 and not the black 1 in the picture. i thought the default colour was black unless i request otherwise. and i definately wanted black. but the grey 1 is on my van now !"

Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: hayesey on September 30, 2009, 09:27:12 am
maybe he didn't want to ruin the surprise of how good it was going to look and unpacked it and stuck it to his van with his eyes closed?  Seems a reasonable thing to do to me....
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: Jezza-7 on September 30, 2009, 09:41:30 am
That is funny. But really how would you respond to that?
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: DKnight on September 30, 2009, 09:58:32 am
i genuinely dont know how to without sounding like im patronizing him, im pritty much just going to tell him we can do exchanges as it was our error in sending the wrong one, but as he has stuck it on and used it, there is not much we can do!

Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: Wiggy on September 30, 2009, 02:21:33 pm
Ask him to send the panel on which he has stuck it to you in exchange for the right sticker.

He sounds retarded enough to agree with that....
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: scotsjohn on September 30, 2009, 08:20:52 pm
You're allowed to tell customers where to get off from time to time Dan. This could well be a freebie attempt though, so ask him to send the used one back for an exchange and see how genuine he is.
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: vwmk3jon on October 01, 2009, 03:27:02 pm
Unless hes colourblind, hes got no excuses. Its not as though you cant damn well check before you stick it on.

As for the measurements (and wheels), what about tyres? 3 different units of measurement on them! (mm, percentage and inches iirc)
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: DKnight on October 12, 2009, 01:49:59 pm
and the first one of this week, quite a good one, a question about a down and out sticker

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170383197788&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123#ht_529wt_801

and the question:

Dear brownstickers,

hi m8 am just woundering wot the stickers are and how many do u get and wot are the stickers????

- 0161lee78

again, how can i answer that? infact what is he even asking? bare in mind auction says sticker, and what they are, and colour?

no idea lol
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: hayesey on October 12, 2009, 02:14:01 pm
haha "wot are the stickers", how do you answer that?  Like tattoos for objects not made of flesh?  Little pictures you can fix to things?  Thin strips of polyvinyl chloride cut into pleasing shapes with a coating of adhesive on one side?

Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)

i  assume the 5-7 refers to the time you can take to post the item out.
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: DKnight on October 20, 2009, 04:10:22 pm
ha thats the thing, no it doesnt, where he has got 5-7 days from no idea, it says on listing item is dispatched within 2 days!

i had a user requests contact information email today from him, so emails arent getting to him, and the phone number he has supplied? doesnt work

so his email doesnt work, phone doesnt work, and address either

i sent a replacement recorded delivery, and it has not yet been delivered, so there is an issue with his address, but i cant contact him to ask lol

comical

had a good one today aswell

Item sale Date :27th November

Item post date: 2nd December

Todays date: 8th December

Message received today:

Can you tell me why it took you 18 days to send out my stickers?

So only 11 days have passed between now and the 27th, not to mention he is asking why it took 18 days to post, so add 2 more days for delivery, that is 20 days

Are people that retarded at simple maths now?

Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: hayesey on December 08, 2009, 04:27:45 pm

"Dear brownstickers,

hi there, your add says it is shipped within 24 hours, but i havent
recieved my sticker for a week.
i will wait for your reply before i send
negative feedback
thanks
"

Well how about you wait the 12/15 days standard mail can take, which is stated on the listing, and then email me to tell me that the item has clearly got lost, so i can dispatch a replacement.

And also bare in mind it is fuckin christmas, and post is ALWAYS slow this time of the year.

And yet again as i said above, i dont give a flying bollox about my feedback, you pay for item, i send it, jesus they piss me off!

OH THE BEST TO DATE

email to the website

"Dear Volkswagen stickers,

I have a vw campervan and was excited when I first found your site as I was looking for stickers for my van. Looking through your selection I became more and more disappointed and amazed at the offensive tone of some of your products. How on earth can you think it's acceptable in 2010 to sell stickers that say things like "If you can read this you're not an immigrant", "No fat chicks" and "Women can't drive for shit"??
Sadly it would seem that the macho, sexist and racist male is still alive and well.

I now have no intention of buying anything from you and will spread the word about your offensive products.

and todays excitement, this is my reply to someone opening a paypal dispute 7 days after buying an item

"Hello

Sorry for the problems with your order, but please all the questions you ask can be answered by yourself.

We select "dispatched" on our ebay when we send all items, which sends you an email saying your item has been dispatched, if you log in to your ebay account and view your item it tells you when it was dispatched.

You emailed us on Sunday at 2pm, and then 3 hours later at 5pm with the same question, we are a business we do not work weekends.

Then by another 3 hours you have opened a paypal dispute!

Before opening paypal disputes it asks you a series of questions, like "have you contacted the seller?"
"Have you allowed time for the item to be delivered?"

Both of these answers are no, only 5 working days have passed since you ordered the item, and mail can take up to 14 days to be delivered (please visit royal mails website, these are their conditions)

We are sorry for the delay with your item, but we have done everything we can, once in the hands of royal mail the speed is out of our control.

So please allow the time for it to be delivered, and then if it is not delivered, we will of course sort a replacement out

thanks

Dan"

"Good evening,

Many thanks and I look forward to your response.

well i have not updated this in a while, but there must have been something in the air tonight as i had some odd messages:

"Item came with no fitting instructions which resulted in me fitting
incorrectly. Please advise before I leave feedback."

i mean seriously, this is one of them moments when the internet becomes a fuel anger engine, i sent a really pleasant reply asking for more details, but seriously would you email VW this?

and then the best one of the night:

"A response would have been nice! Your comms suck.... Speaker quality control zero... binned hope you are happy!!!"

checked history never sold this guy anything, so im guessing he has got confused, either way still funny lol

and then another good one, a response to one of my emails to him:

"Hey,

Sorry for late reply,

I had a good look around the advert and cannot see any contact
info, other that your email address about half way down the
advert, just above the description of what goes into the sticker. "

Yes. That email address you see could just be the contact info you require.

ahhh it is such fun, i have stopped caring about feedback now tho, i get held to ransom so much with it, i just do not care now!

:D
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: DKnight on August 22, 2010, 01:07:57 pm
well i aint added much to this recently, but i assure you they crazy comments still come.

one this week has really got my back up, here it is lol

"What a flaming rip off charging me £3.14 for postage that cost £1.15 plus a cheap envelope to send."

my reply

"howdy

sorry for your problems

not a rip off, our pricing structure is included in the postage price, this stems from how our ebay account works, each sticker has the unit price in the postage price, for example

£2.00 sticker, £0.80 postage - total £2.80

actual cost, £2.40 sticker, postage £0.40 - total £2.80

so the outcome is still the same, if you are unhappy with the postage price, it was made aware clearly when checking out.

hope that explains

thanks

Dan"

then his reply:

"Firstly I didn't buy from eBay, I bought direct from your website.  Secondly if you think charging 3 times what it cost to post an order not a rip off then you need to borrow a pair of glasses and look at your costing again.  I don't mind paying more for a sticker if need be.... But I'm not a fan of people making silly mark ups on postage costs.

Something to think about going forward,  as there won't be any repeat business from me.  Or any recommendations to anyone I know in the 'scene'.

Danny"

So he has actually ignored everything i have said, and just given more irate replies, i am now worried he is going to ruin my reputation in the "scene" oh no, oh no, oh no.

my reply:

"hello again

please re read my email, would you walk in a shop and speak to anyone like this seriously?

i will explain again

our ebay pricing structure works like this

TOTAL STICKER COST £2.40

so the sticker itself is £2.40, on ebay you do not get charged fees on the postage, so we add a bit on to the ebay postage, to help keep our overall costs down

so £2.40 for the sticker, and £0.40 for the postage, TOTAL £2.80, so we then just alter the actual total price structure, by charging £2.00 for the sticker, and £0.80 for the postage TOTAL £2.80 (exactly the same as before)

helping us keep the price down by not having to pay as many fees.

We sell hundreds of different items, so having a totally new pricing and invoicing structure for the webshop, and ebay is time consuming, and near impossible from an accounts point of view.

So we just implement the same structure as used on ebay, as the website.

To say again, the postage you paid, is not the postage, the price of the actual item is included in that total.

We have never had anyone complain about this, it is commonly used on ebay and websites, but the fact of the matter is the total was there when you clicked "pay" if you were not happy with paying that postage price, then you should have not bought it?

Please email back if you still do not understand, there is no foul play or any silly mark ups, again look at the total price you are paying for the stickers, it is cheap as chips.

cheers

Dan"

ha cheers mate, yeah i do what i think is a good service, but this is not about service it is just his total lack of understanding what i am saying, and making me out to be ripping him off, its funny, im excited to read his reply lol
Title: Re: Ebay comments i have to deal with... (updated regularly lol)
Post by: DKnight on August 22, 2010, 09:19:28 pm
ha his reply is aweesome:

I'm afraid your not getting what I'm saying,  and I'd have no problem discussing this face to face in a shop in the same manner.

I totally understand your description... Which is basically saying that you're selling the stickers cheap and making the money back on postage.    And if you re-read my last email you will note that I don't mind paying more for a product if I'm paying accurate postage charges.  Over £3 postage on something that cost you £1.15 is just wrong.  Be honest and charge honest fees.  Most websites do not operate in this way... It's only people who do the majority of business on eBay that do, so they don't have to take a hit on fees.

And I'll reiterate I did not purchase these from eBay, but direct from your site.  So you wouldn't have had any fees to pay.  Managing the differences between eBay and your site is not a laborious task,  if you've got the site software setup correctly it's mostly automatic.

You mention that I shouldn't have bought the items if I didn't like the cost.... Well at the time I was happy,  it's when I saw what was paid on postage that miffed me.

So basically what you've admitted is that your conning people on postage to keep your fees down.

Hmmmm ........

Danny

i dont know how you are not understanding, but i will try again

if you were to buy the item from our shop, if you were to walk in, the sticker would be £2.40 NO POSTAGE

if you buy it online it is £2.00 and £0.80 postage TOTAL £2.80 (40p of the actual postage and packing price)

it is not coning anyone, only in your eyes as you are failing to see how it works

Dan
"

and his reply
"Yeah... So why not be honest with the initial sticker price instead of hiding it in the postage and pissing people off ?

Oh yeah... I know it's because you want to maximise profits while conning people into thinking they've got something cheap while they think it's the post office's fault for high postage prices ?  "

man people are thick. they seem to have no common sense and they expect everything to arrive next day when they paid for 2nd class postage, you offer them quicker postage but there not interested.

sometimes i think people just dont read the ads.

I always says if you dont like the cost of the postage dont bid on my item.

people seem to live in different worlds on ebay with what they expect you to do.

I have two no shows to look at my jeep i am selling at the weekend, no calls or text to say they where no longer turning up or reply to texts.

They just expect you to wait around.

then i get  a question like this

"will you be posting any further info about this vehicle? "
the ad clearly states if you have a questions and its not covered in the ad ask what you want to know,
if i was not so short of money i would not sell on ebay ever again way too many dumb arses

Post by: DKnight on August 30, 2010, 01:15:27 am
i think it is just a sign of the times (ha sound old) people just do not read things, i get asked so much "how much is postage to (insert country)" and it is on the auction, you just click the country and it gives the postage price, same with people asking about combined postage, big letters on auction "multiple postage combined"

ebay is hard work, it sways far too much to let the buyers act like utter cocks

not updated this in ages, but seem to have had an influx of idiots this last week.

This guy bought an item, and 2 month later tells me he never got it, i ask him to confirm delivery address and he gives it aswell as making an adjustment to the item.

I said, we never got the change to the item. The rest is in the case on ebay:

Details provided by the buyer:
The buyer has not received the item
The buyer has tried contacting you
The buyer paid on 02 Feb, 2011
The buyer paid for the item with PayPal.
The buyer did not give permission to share a phone number with you.
Additional information:
"exchanged a couple emails said would look into not heard anything since"
The buyer wanted:
The buyer prefers a replacement item if one is available.
Transaction information:

Your message to the buyer:
"Hi Sam Sorry for your problems with this, the item should have got there by now, we did ask you to confirm the delivery name and address but got a partial reply back so we assumed the item had been received. Also you state you wanted the tailgate decal with no holes, i have checked the paypal payment and there is no mention of this. Can you please supply the full delivery name and address for us to check? thanks Dan"

Buyer's message:
"I sent an email confirming name and postal address when asked, here is details again Samantha Knight 18 Heather Gardens Dundee DD3 0NX Regards Sam"

Your message to the buyer:
"Hello again we have no email, what address did you send it to? Can you please go into your email outbox and print the screen showing the email, we have no record of it. We do state on the auction that any variation requests are stated on checkout, to avoid problems like this. Once we have the screen shot showing the email was sent we can get a replacement sent. thanks Dan"

Buyer's message:
"You sent a message through ebay asking us to confirm the address which we did through ebay messages."

Your message to the buyer:
"hello sorry for your confusion with what i ask, i mean when you ordered the item, where did you state you wanted it without wiper holes? if ti was an ebay message, or via ebay, please can you send me a copy of this thanks Dan"

Buyer's message:
"It was on pay screen in paypal notes I think, don't know how to look at that again"

Your message to the buyer:
"hello again if you contact paypal and ask them they can tell you all you need to know, you need to "view the transaction details" which can be done when logging in to paypal. That screen and info is what we use to dispatch the order, and we have it infront of us and there is no mention of sending a hole less decal. Im sorry for these problems but we can not send out a replacement as we were not told to send one without wiper holes, if you can show us where it was input then we can get the replacement sent. Hope that makes sense, thanks Dan"

Buyer's message:
"it was a mail through ebay after we bought item we no longer have email and if this is a problem just refund the payment and we will deal with someone on ebay that wants the business you have dragged your heels on this now for weeks im starting to think you dont have it in stock and this is the reason you are kicking up a fuss . Either that or provide a tarck no so we can see where it is Regards Kris "

Your message to the buyer:
"hello sorry for your total confusion. You bought the item, and are saying you nave not got it, we have sent it, if it has got lost then once the time scale has passed, which it has a long time ago, we send a replacement. But the problem we have is we never had a message from you about the alteration to your order, so the wrong item will have been sent anyway. So even if you had of got the item, it would have been wrong. We clearly state in our terms and conditions to state alterations on paypal payment, which you have not done. I am not dragging my heels at all, from day one i have asked for proof that the message was sent, and you can not give it, so we have to dispatch the wrong item to you again. We have not done anything wrong here at all, look at our feedback, do we look like a company that would for the sake of 1 purchase not have it? If you still do not understand please give me a contact phone number and i will explain"

Buyer's message:
"Tell you what send one with holes so i can send you it back as its the wrong item then .... Im in the right here ive paid for item item not received i WANT a replacement or a refund thats my right as a ebay customer "

Your message to the buyer:
"ok, i will send another on Monday, but you are not in the right, you have ordered the decal, and not stated on paypal you want an alteration. I can send you the transaction, which again you can log in to paypal and see for yourself. Or i can take a screen grab picture, you are being totally unreasonable and ignoring facts. I have no idea why but im trying to explain the situation and resolve it. So i will send out the item you ment to order, then the transaction is complete, and we have done everything and more than enough to sort it out. I do not know why you are being so off with me, the delay/loss in the post is annoying yes we can both agree with that, but we do not operate royal mail. Dan "

Just sold our old fireplace on eBay:
"...will this fit in our car or do we need to get a trailer..."

1. I have no idea what car you have...
2. ...even if I did, I don't have internal dimensions for every car ever sold.
3. The fireplace dimensions are on the listing.
4. It's a fucking fireplace, not a pair of shoes. What do you think?!

ah another rude cunt.

"Dear brownstickers,

where is my item its been more than 3 weeks now and i have no choice but to give you very negative feeback and to report you to ebay if you do not reply to this message and sort it out!!!!

- abimanyuvijayakumar"

Dear abimanyuvijayakumar,

Hello

this is the first email we have had from you in regards to the item?

We are sorry the item has not been delivered, if you log in to ebay you will see when the item was sent by us, if it has not been received then there has been an error with delivery.
3 weeks have passed and it should have got there by now so it is looking like it has got lost.
Which again we can only apologise on behalf of royal mail, delays and losses do occur.

Now you have emailed us to tell us you have not got the item, we can now sort out the problem and get you some replacements sent.

Can you confirm the delivery name and address for us?

thanks

Dan

"Dear brownstickers,

ok its

abimanyu vijayakumar

Harrow

- abimanyuvijayakumar"

Dear abimanyuvijayakumar,

Hello

we have checked the payment details and the name you have supplied below is not the name that the items were dispatched to.

please log in to your paypal and ebay to see the name supplied

we have the name "Marimuthu Vijayakumar"

I hope this helps, please advise if this person has not received the item and we can take from there

thanks

Dan

"Dear brownstickers,

The paypal account is under the name marimuthu vijayakumar but the payment was made using my details and my card abimanyu vijayakumar i do not see what the problem is as i have done this many times before and i feel like its just an excuse for the delay i decided to use your site but from using your competitor mr oilcan the service was much better and very very quick... if the details were "wrong" to begin with it means you did not send it in the first place...to be honest this is the last time i will be using your store...i hope you deliver my items soon if not then please refund the money.

- abimanyuvijayakumar"

Dear abimanyuvijayakumar,

Hello

Sorry again for the problems, I will try and explain again.

If you log in to paypal and view the payment details, the "Shipping Address" with the name is:

Shipping address - confirmed
Marimuthu vijayakumar
122 Headstone Lane
Harrow, Middlesex
HA2 6JN
United Kingdom

This is what ebay and paypal instruct us to dispatch to, there is no mention of any other name or details for delivery.

I am sorry you feel like we have made an excuse for delay of delivery, but please do look at our feedback, for what reason would i chose to delay your order? what gain would that bring us? We stock all items, and send the same day, as we did with your order.

I am glad you had a good service from another seller, but as outlined above we have not done anything wrong at all?

I never said the details were "wrong" the details are just not the same as what we were given by you originally to dispatch to, the important fact that the name the items were sent to is not yours.

So back to my original question, have the items been received by Marimuthu Vijayakumar?
These are the details we are waiting to receive from you, we can not dispatch another set until we have this information.

All i can do is apologise for the delay and problems, but we have replied quickly and tried to fix the problems as best we can.

thanks

Dan

ive not updated for a while, but this guy has really got my back up

"Hi,

emailed you about a last week asking if you had any tips for applying these. so far no response. to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. But hey ho it's your loss, as I'll be telling my T4 forum friends not to buy from you!! and I certainly wont buy anything else from you!

- gbarr2006"

Hello

sorry for your troubles, we have had no email from yourself, what address did you send it to?
Not to worry tho we are happy to help with your message.

We are a vehicle sticker supplier, the auction is for the set of stickers as listed, no where on the listing do we say we also give you fitting advise.

We are currently in the process of doing individual fitment guides for ever vehicle decal we offer (over 70 different ones) but the workings of this is a massive task, and at current the £8.99 you pay for the item does not include the service.

It is a bit like buying a wheel bearing from say GSF, and then ringing them up demanding they tell you how to fit it.

We always recommend getting a professional to fit the decals, youtube and google has lots of videos with guidance for generic vinyl application which we find helps.

When you say you are disappointed do you mean because you got no reply or are you disappointed with the item?

If you are not happy with this then i will happily refund you for the error, i will take your comments on board and we will amend the listing to state what the auction does not come with.

Any other questions just give me a shout, if no reply within 3 days then i suggest sending again

thanks

Dan

"I sent it to this address. I wasn't looking for instructions. I was just asking if you had any tips on applying them. Some suppliers go that extra mile to help customers. but we learn by our experiences.

cheers.

- gbarr2006"

Hello again

Tips/instructions are the same thing. Like i said we are currently sorting out detailed application guides for each item. Tips on applying them are again basic things you can find off youtube and google for generic vinyl application.

I can not help but feel you are looking for some kind of exact answer?

Like i say, buy this item from VW and you will not even get a reply to asking how to apply them, they will just say you can book it in for fitting.

Going the extra mile? you have bought an item for £8.99, we have the price as low as we can to give you the best price, yet you insist on expecting more.
We have given a cheap accurate postage cost, we pack in boxes to keep that low, we use premium vinyl and we dispatch in excellent time. How you can feel disappointed is disappointing to us as we have done everything at the highest level?

Like i said, i am happy to give you your money back

thanks

Dan

"excuse me, I don't want to get into a pissing competition with you. All I wanted in the first place was a response sayin yes or no! not a big long spiel about you dont do this or that. the main part of my disappointment was the lack of response in the first place. If you had answered my first email saying you only supply and you don't know anything about applying them, that would have been suffice. I know now that you know nothing about applying them and that's fine, you don't need to reply telling me about what I should and shouldn't expect for the price I paid!no matter what I pay for something if I ask a question I expect an answer. And in this case, I just asked one simple question! 'can you give any tips on applying' and the simple answer in your case would have been no! simples! no need for all these long winded moans and groans about what I paid and what I should expect!! please don't respond to this as it doesn't require response.

- gbarr2006"

Like i said, we never got your first email, so the problems have arisen from that.

It was not spiel, i was trying to explain to you a few things.

All your moans and groans as you call it span from the email not getting through, which if you check the auction we do ask for people to not use the ebay message system and email us direct as it has many flaws.

thanks

Dan

Haha this was interesting to read.
my dad used to sell damaged perfumes and aftershave on ebay
he got a reply from one person saying "the perfume smelt like piss"
wtf do you reply to that! lol. they returned the item and the money was refunded, when he got it back it just smelt like normal girls perfume :S
ebay is full idiots! ive got negtive feedback from some guy who bought a motorbike exhast of me, i clearly stated it was damaged in the listing and took an extra picture to show the damage
he recived the item.... then gave me negative feedback saying it was damaged.... well duh!
thats not the best bit, two weeks after his message, i recived another message from the user saying
"sorry that was my dad who sent the message and bad feedback" even though his son had bought the item :O
good job

I've not had much trouble with e-bayers, but a couple of years ago I sold a riflescope to a guy who waited about four months then complained that he hadn't managed to shoot anything  with it. He didn't know how to zero his scope /rifle combination, so fuck knows where his shots were going. Did I tell him? Did I fuck! Watch out Lancashire.

Im actually banned on ebay now from selling, seems if you put dispatch time of 20 working days people get angry after a week. One gimp even messaged me mins after winning the item to ask when he will get the dam thing - He later went on to say he never got it, and ebay collections paid him a refund that i then had to pay them for, you get done in every hole.

So i had loads of shitty feedback about dispatch time when most of the stuff im selling wasn't rare so they could have bid on other auctions.

Got multiple emails from ebay every few weeks - Even when i didn't have stuff for sale so i couldn't make my dispatch rating any better.

They even sent me a survey to do after being stopped from selling for me to review their procedure lol
