Title: Tank breather
Post by: sleag40 on April 30, 2017, 10:44:24 am
How do! The petrol tank on my blue G40 has stopped breathing! When you open the fuel cap, it belches out fumes with a fair bit of force. I suspect that the one way valve on the filler neck to the charcoal canister pipe is buggered - has anyone seen this before? I need to find a working valve before I drop the tank, so if anyone has one or knows where one can be bought, I'd be most grateful.

Cheers, Steve

Hello, i had the same problem about a year ago. The only think i did was to open the fuel cap, take off the canister end of the breather hose and blow pressured air carefully. when i heard the wistle from the back i stoped. Thats it. 5 min job! Do that before buying anything.
