Title: Shocks and springs setup, feedback needed
Post by: Fifress on April 25, 2017, 06:02:17 pm
Currently i have terrible suspension, had koni shocks with lowering springs (only has mad or mod lettering on them... Can't tell which brand) then those b3came hard. When i bought my other g40 it came with TA tecnix kit which was bad from the start...
Now i need suspension overhaul.
I've heard bilstein b4/b8 with eibach springs is among the best.
What do you recommend? I want lowered but not too stiff as i have cobblestone and bad roads where i live
Thank you  :)

Just following. :)
My TA Technix rears just blew during the weekend. Bought the car with those, hated them from the first moment.

I think i will go the route i mentioned above, bilstein b8's and eibach springs, pro kit...that way i keep some of the confort
Will report when i get them, in middle of 2 ongoing projects so it will take a few months  :(

yes konis & eibachs or bilsteins and eibachs are always a good bet.  I'd avoid all that ebay crap such as ta technix, it's cheap rubbish.

What makes you say that?

I haven't used them for some time to be honest, I currently have some custom made bilsteins on mine anyway.

I could list mine but you wouldn't want it on a road car lol

The TA shocks/springs yes are shocking beyond belief..back breakers, but the TA coilovers aren't bad really, I have FK Konigsports (dampening adjustable) coils on my G40 and the TA coilovers on my daily, the difference isn't that noticeable if i'm honest for ride quality.
(I've not tried either on track though)

I was planning to do exactly that, change the shock itself from TA to Koni, on the TA coilover housing... :D
