This is more for other people opinions rather than I need a question answering.ive got a boost gauge, oil pressure and oil temp gauge and I can't quite decide where to mount them.now I had them mounted in my last g40 but this time I can't quite decide where to put them where I can see them and where they don't look out of place if that make sense.ive kept my car looking as standard as possible so I don't want them to look like they don't belong.so if any of you have any gauges in there car can I please ask your opinion of where you have mounted them or where you think I should mount mine please.thanks as always Matt :-)

Best place in terms of visibility. I've got a Bluetooth speaker for long motorway drives.
There are some neat gauge holders which replace the ashtray but they're LHD only.
-
Ah mate they they pretty smart did you make them are buy them?
-
They're Stack Pro Control gauges in a cheap gauge holder I bought from eBay. The gauge holder was meant to be temporary as I thought it looked a bit naff when I bought it, but it's quite neat and fits in well so it's stayed.
It's the same as this:

I was really after something more like this - but I'm not sure it's worth the extra dosh and the gauges aren't angled towards the driver:

The wideband gauge is in a square piece of wood trimmed in acoustic carpet, it's interference fit in the centre console but it doesn't move unless you give it a good prod.
Most gauge pods are pretty chintzy really. All mounted on the A-pillar and finished in aluminium or fuax carbon fibre. I wanted one made of the same black plastic as the rest of the dashboard. I guess it's not that OEM+ not having a head unit but it's the neatest place to mount them.

I set mine up in a similar way to Alex. 3 in the radio slot and 1 in the centre console.
Who needs a radio in a toy anyway?

When does the 'GO BABY GO' light up?
Thanks Alex...Took a few goes to get it how I wanted it.
-
Alex thanks for the links for the gauge holders
And dubstar you've made a cracking job of yours I'm tempted to do that if you don't mind me picching your idea?
-
That LED is lit from the switch in the top of the gearknob. It switches in a bleed-valve so I've got two levels of boost.
I pinched the idea off someone else to be frank, so go ahead! Have a look on my build thread (page 9) for how I developed & fitted it if you want to avoid the pitfalls I did.

I can't find your thread maybe I'm looking in the wrong place

To anybody that's fitted mechanical oil pressure and oil temp gauges to there g40s.can anyone advise me the easiest way to connect them up?possibly avoiding the sump
-
a t-piece on the oil pressure sensors in the back of the cylinder head. One already has a t-piece for the oil supply to the charger, add another t-piece to the other one.
-
Thank you so much hayesy I was almost planning to pilot and thread the sump you have saved me an almighty job thank you very much.
-
Anyone know where I can get a t piece from for my gauges? Everyone seems to look at me like I have two heads when I ask for a t piece.uts a simple request but it seems like I'm asking for something for a rocket ship.
