Title: Mk2 G40 intercooler parts
Post by: VeeDub94 on December 31, 2015, 04:56:49 pm
Hey all, first post on here

I'm building a 16v Lysholm engine and planned to use the mk2 G40 intercooler. It arrived today from MaxRPM and now I'm looking at fitting for it.

Does anybody have photos of either the original mk2 items, front valance/cross member ect or is there a better way of doing how Saf did it with the box section

I would prefer mk2 G40 parts but I can imagine how hard they are to come by

Its possible to find the parts on ebay, what that picture above doesn't show is the special front splitter and also the special front pannel that comes on a mk2

It is possible to find these, as i have, but takes a bit of patients and time.

I did have a 3rd set of the intercooler piping, which I pass on, but looking at it and thinking or the boost levels you might be running it would be a better bet to get some metal pipework made up, which is what i think i will be doing later in the year once my 2nd one is built, i just don't think the plastic piping will really be up to the job
