Hi all,
Anyone ever attempted to fit 15x8.5's with et20 onto a G40?
Sorry to be one of "those' guys asking the stupid questions but I've searched high and low for threads or any mention of it and no luck not yet anyway...

anything wider than 6.5" on a g40 and you get issues. YOu can get 15x6 on with a normalish et. I think 15x8.5 whatever et you will really struggle.
With major arch work though, anything is possible.

Well here's 15x8 ET0.. doesnt state if he's spaced them to get that ET though

Seem to remember JordanVW of clubpolo ran 15x8.5 renault turbines on the back of his coupe, he had to do arch work and camber for them to fit.

Thanks guys, well I have them so I might as well try them on!
I'm hoping for the best, I love them and they're rare beauties!

Sorry to give bad news but i hink you find they are not even close to fitting properly on the front. The rears you can get on if the offset is right. i run 7.5" on the fron of my car and i have flared arches.
It will steer like a dog!

Thing is, can you really enjoy G thrills with 15 x 8.5 wide rims...

Seems I was mistaken, they're 8's and they're not as bad as I had expected, skinnier tyre and possible skim and it'll be good I think.
