Hey guys I have some questions about the turbo built.
I have a polo g40 PY with stock head gaskit, stock headbolds, stock piston and rods. Is it possible to build a turbo on these stock parts?
Thanks in advance for your reaction.

Look in the turbo FAQ dude Cheys does it on a aav block. I turbo'd mine on stock components but ended up melting a piston. If your careful then there's no reason why you can't
-
With the right setup then yes. Ive got a chip here to run a K03 turbo on stock internals.
-
I run a standard block and head with no up rated internals and run 1.5bar without any problems, it's a strong engine with nearly 120k on the clock and Andy from PPP mapped it and he knows his stuff which is probably the main reason it's still going, I will go for a 1341cc over bore when funds permit though.

Woah! 22.5 psi on standard internals!! Pretty impressive!
-
Hayesey runs (or rather used to run!) stock internals on his too.

Where can you get good quality ko3 or t25 turbo manifolds? Don't mind paying up to £500
I've emailed jp racing

Rothe motorsport in Germany for a K03 one.

Thanks mate, I do really like the cast iron one, but it's getting hold of one, they rarely come up for sale, can't find any info about them on the net and their website is pants, along of people have tried contacting them but to no use
I haven't made my mind up yet with what I'm doing, trying get as much info about everything first, and if I can't get a good turbo mani then it's definitely off the list
Sorry for Crashing this thread lol
What about t25?
-
i want a rothe mani but ive messaged them twice and no reply :/
taylor bartek sell garret manifolds:)
-
Ive messaged them too, the rothe looks good quality. the manifold on bartek looks poor from the pics, the welds look weak, especially compared to my ppp one
emtec do a ko3 and t25 one, but again, doesnt look the best and i know yoof had problems
it looks like ill be going k03 lol
its a good compromise, 200 hp, lower rpm spool to be as close as the delivery from the lader and dam cheap for the conversion!
plus the most important thing is reliability for switzerland next year :)
only downside is its god dam boring :P lol
at the current rate id rather jp racing made me a bespoke mani
