Hello, so as you may have guessed from my last post I am looking at buying a G40 again, it's been a long time since I have been about and I don't know if anyone will remember me much, I still know some of you guys :-)
If you don't know who I am I used to own a G40 in early 2000's think between 2000-2005. My car was a Tornado red Saloon CL converted to a G40. It used to run 175BHP with 170 ft/lbs on standard engine/injectors and a Jabba sport 65mm chip! which seems mad but it worked. it was a solid engine I loved it! (had other mods but won't list them here)
Anyway in 2005 someone pulled out infront of me and I couldn't avoid a collision and ended up writing the car off :-( sold the engine and that was that.
I have had many golfs since, MK3 VR6, MK5 TSI, Mk6 GT TDI, 09 Polo 1.2 (i know what the hell!) and back to a Golf MK5 TSI (which i resurrected from a nasty timing chain failure) photo's are interesting as the pistons are in pieces!
So now my wife Helen has a new job we need a new car and she suggested I bought a G40 (I have a great wife). So here I am a day later and about to buy another G40 and I am like a kid at christmas.
One thing I cannot wait for is the simple engine diagnoses! these bloody TSI engines just have too much going on with them and I have rebuilt the entire thing but still have a couple of boost issues, just frustrating.
So 13 years in 5 minutes :-)
Hope to meet the ppl I knew pretty well so many years ago and meet some of the new ppl as well!

Heyup Paul!
Remake required of the T40 and G40 'make the bastard chase you' video required...

Wish I still had that video! No idea where I put it! Infact to be truthfull I have hardly any videos or photos of my old polo :-(

Maybe Mark still has it somewhere?

Ha!
class, that is so cheesy but brings back some memories! especially me waisting my tyres trying not to hit the kurb in the carpark :D
Maybe an HD remake is needed! especially now the GO PRO cameras are about.
Has anyone got a video of me at the pod? I used to have a couple but can't find anything.
I do have a great in-car video of Marshals G40 going up the strip at GTI international back in 2005, I edited it into a little sequence, will have to get that up here.

I've got some of those Pod videos too Paul. Just uploading them now into this folder:

They are the WMV with 'paul' at the start of the file name

Cool :-) cheers man!

How cool, mine was pretty quiet like, but plenty charger noise which I liked!
Treasure mate, got hardly any evidence of this car. Can finally show my work mates what I have been going on about for the last 8 years! And then need to get the new G40 up to scratch but I think if I can I'll be keeps the charger once again. (buy a spare as well).
Watching these has got be right excited for Saturday when I pick the new G up!
